Parlour Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 13, 2026
Parlour ("Parlour," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Singh Technologies LLC, an Ohio limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Parlour mobile application (the "Service"), available to customers and beauty-service providers ("Providers").
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect the information you provide through Firebase Authentication, including your name, email address, and/or phone number, and a unique account identifier. Providers additionally provide business information such as a business name, service listings, pricing, and availability.
Location Information. We collect your device's location (with your permission) to show you nearby Providers and to allow Providers to appear in relevant searches. You can disable location access in your device settings, though this will limit the Service's ability to show nearby results.
Photos. Providers may upload portfolio photos to showcase their work. These photos are stored on our behalf by Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) and are visible to other users of the Service as part of a Provider's public profile.
Messages. Customers and Providers can message each other within the app to coordinate bookings. We store the content of these messages to facilitate the conversation, enable customer support, and investigate reports of abuse.
Booking and Payment Information. When you book and pay for a service, payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. We do retain records of the transaction itself (service booked, price, service fee, date, and status) to operate the Service, provide receipts, process refunds, and comply with our legal and tax obligations. Providers additionally go through Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts, which involves providing identity and bank account information directly to Stripe.
Push Notification Tokens. If you enable notifications, we collect a device token (via Apple Push Notification Service or Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send you booking updates, messages, and other Service-related alerts.
Reports and Moderation Information. If you submit a report about another user, or if a report is submitted about you, we retain the content of that report (reason, relevant context such as a photo or message, and status) to review and act on it, including to enforce our Terms of Service.
Automatically Collected Information. We may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, and app version to help us maintain and troubleshoot the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and manage your account
- Connect customers with nearby Providers and facilitate bookings
- Process payments and Provider payouts
- Enable in-app messaging between customers and Providers
- Send booking confirmations, reminders, and other Service notifications
- Review and act on reports, and enforce our Terms of Service (including blocking or banning users who violate them)
- Provide customer support
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as follows:
With other users, as part of using the Service. A Provider's business profile, listed services, and portfolio photos are visible to customers. When you book a service, the Provider you book with can see the information necessary to fulfill that booking (such as your name and message content).
With service providers who help us operate Parlour, including:
- Firebase / Google, for authentication and push notifications
- Stripe, Inc., for payment processing and Provider payouts
- Amazon Web Services, for photo and data storage
These providers are only permitted to use your information as necessary to provide their services to us.
For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parlour, our users, or the public.
In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Your Choices and Rights
Access and correction. You can review and update most of your account information directly within the app.
Location. You can disable location permissions at any time through your device settings.
Notifications. You can disable push notifications through your device settings.
Blocking. You can block another user at any time; blocked users cannot message you, book with you, or see your profile.
Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at tavin@singhtechnologies.net. We may retain limited information as required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or safety purposes (for example, records of past transactions or reports involving a banned account) even after account deletion.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect and to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. We do not sell personal information. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at tavin@singhtechnologies.net.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including relying on established third-party providers (Stripe, Firebase, AWS) that maintain their own industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at tavin@singhtechnologies.net.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer periods where required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or as needed for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and safety records.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
